Hoje, almoçando com um pastor amigo, soube que a organização do Templo Satânico americano pediu para colocar a imagem de Satanás em frente a um órgão público em Oklahoma. O argumento que os satanistas evocam é o da igualdade de direitos, já que há naquele local um monumento aos 10 mandamentos.

Segundo Lucien Greaves, porta voz do Templo Satânico:

“….a estátua terá um propósito funcional, sendo uma cadeira onde as pessoas de todas as idades poderão se sentar no colo de Satanás, em busca de inspiração e contemplação” (Gospel Prime notícias).

A verdade é que a nação americana está completamente dividida. De um lado, cristãos verdadeiros lutam bravamente para que as bênçãos de Deus, recebidas por conta dos fundamentos bíblicos que seus antepassados estabeleceram, permaneçam. Do outro lado, vemos o levantamento de toda sorte de afronta a Deus, como se isso não trouxesse graves consequências para a sociedade.
De fato, os americanos se tornaram o que são pelos próprios méritos. Primeiramente, abençoados por terem sido os maiores propagadores do evangelho nos últimos séculos. Se há justiça, se há igualdade, se há liberdade é porque muitos homens valorosos morreram para que todos pudessem viver o sonho americano.

Abraão Lincoln, o herói da abolição da escravatura era cristão. Martin Luther King, o maior ícone americano do século XX foi um pastor que ousou sonhar com uma nação em que os negros tivessem igualdade de oportunidades.
Esses dois, a exemplo de milhares de outros americanos, mas esses incógnitos, fizeram daquela nação uma potência digna de ser invejada e admirada.
Mas hoje não é mais assim. A América não mais exporta o evangelho; exporta aberrações.
A América de hoje baniu a oração das escolas, proíbe que professores compartilhem a sua fé, e, sobretudo, renega a sua história.
Ficarmos chocados com a audácia dos satanistas não nos torna libertadores. Para mim, o que está acontecendo nos Estados Unidos da América é um alerta importante para nós brasileiros.
Se nossos púlpitos continuarem pregando mensagens humanistas em que o homem, e não a cruz é o centro de tudo, o destino da nossa nação não será diferente disso.

Jovens, vós sois fortes, e já vencestes o maligno!
Esse é o seu tempo! Tempo em que os que forem comprometidos com o Senhor envergonharão os que hoje só vivem de aparência.
